Production Process
-
1. Design & DFM Analysis
-
Electrical load analysis to determine optimal cross-sectional area and material grade.
-
Design for Manufacturability (DFM) review to optimize stamping, bending, and assembly.
-
-
2. Precision Tooling Fabrication
-
Manufacturing of multi-station progressive dies using high-wear tool steel and CNC/Wire-EDM machining.
-
-
3. Blanking & Progressive Stamping
-
Copper alloy coils are fed into presses. The progressive die performs blanking, piercing, forming, and coining in a continuous operation.
-
-
4. Secondary Forming & Machining
-
CNC bending or robotic folding to achieve 3D shapes.
-
Machining of holes, slots, or threaded inserts as required.
-
-
5. Surface Treatment & Plating
-
Cleaning and degreasing.
-
Application of specified plating (e.g., electro-tin plating) via automated reel-to-reel or rack plating lines.
-
-
6. Quality Assurance & Electrical Testing
-
100% dimensional inspection.
-
Sample-based conductivity verification and resistance testing.
-
Plating thickness measurement (X-ray fluorescence).
-
-
7. Packaging & Shipment
-
Application of anti-tarnish protectants and packaging in VCI materials to prevent oxidation during transit.
-
Surface Treatments
-
Electro-Tin Plating: The most common finish, providing excellent solderability, good corrosion resistance, and cost-effectiveness for electrical connections.
-
Silver Plating: Offers the highest electrical conductivity and superior corrosion resistance, ideal for high-current or high-frequency applications in premium systems.
-
Nickel Plating: Serves as a barrier layer under other platings or provides a hard, wear-resistant surface with good oxidation resistance.
-
Bare Copper with Anti-Tarnish Coating: An organic coating applied to prevent oxidation while maintaining maximum conductivity, used where plating is not specified.
-
Selective Laser Cleaning: Precise removal of plating or oxide from specific contact areas to ensure perfect electrical connection during assembly.
Factory Show
Our dedicated stamping facility is equipped with high-tonnage progressive stamping presses (60 to 400 tons) capable of handling wide copper coils. We operate precision CNC press brakes and robotic bending cells for secondary forming. An in-house, automated plating workshop features reel-to-reel selective tin and silver plating lines. Quality is systemically enforced through an IATF 16949 certified process, utilizing CMMs for dimensional control, XRF gauges for plating verification, and micro-ohm meters for conductivity checks. This integrated setup ensures the high-volume production of reliable, precision copper busbars that meet stringent automotive electrical standards.
